Meet Ted, the Italian Spinone who has recovered successfully after bilateral surgery to remove his ear canals.
Four-year-old Ted was referred to Kentdale with a history of chronic bilateral ear infections. Following consultation, Ted underwent a CT scan to check for infection in the middle ear, which was clear. It was then confirmed via examination that Ted had chronic bilateral otitis.
During a successful three-hour surgery, Jan Beranek, RCVS Specialist in Small Animal Surgery, removed both of Ted’s ear canals.
We are delighted that one month later, Ted is doing very well and is living a life free of ear infections.
