Graham graduated from Cambridge University Veterinary School and then worked at the RSPCA Greater Manchester Animal Hospital for seven years.  During this time he completed the RCVS Certificate in Small Animal Surgery and then returned to Cambridge Veterinary School in 2008 to undertake a three-year residency training programme in Small Animal Surgery.

In the final year of residency training he was awarded the Peter Holt Award by the AVSTS, the Leslie Vaughan Prize by the BVOA, the Dunkin Award by the BSAVA, an Outstanding Surgery Resident Award from the ACVS Foundation and the Residents’ Presentation Award from the ECVS.

Graham passed the European College of Veterinary Surgeons (ECVS) Diploma in Small Animal Surgery in 2012 and is an RCVS and European Specialist in Small Animal Surgery. Graham enjoys all types of veterinary surgery and undertakes extensive continuing professional development to maintain his credentials.
