Arranging a referral
It really helps us to work efficiently if we have all of the clients basic details before they arrive. In order to make this easy a referral submission form may be completed and faxed to us. If you feel a case needs to be referred urgently, please telephone the surgery on 015395 67241 and tell us that you consider the case to be urgent.
Wherever possible we will try to make sure that you can speak to a Veterinary Surgeon directly if immediate advice is needed. Please send any available images with the client or by email and fax a referral submission form as soon as possible.
After hours please follow the instructions on the answering service.
Please contact us by telephone if you wish to discuss the case before arranging a referral. If you feel the case is routine, please fill out a referral submission form and fax or email it back, with a copy of the clinical history on 0845 862 8612.
We do not need a specific referral letter unless you wish to produce one.
Any radiographs/scan images may be sent with the owner, by post or by email before the consultation. Large files may be saved in a zip file and uploaded to our Hightail account at:
Please let us know if you wish us to contact the owner directly once we have received your instructions, or if the client will contact us directly to arrange an appointment.
We are happy to assess radiographs on your behalf. Verbal reports are provided free of charge. Written reports are available should you prefer for which a charge will be made to the referring practice. We are happy for you to send images via post, email or by uploading to our Hightail account at:
Please ensure we have a clinical history provided and completed an xray submission form If you have sent radiographs but have not heard back within three days, please telephone the surgery as we may have been trying to contact you.
