One-year-old Reggie was brought to Kentdale after fracturing his left leg when jumping off the sofa at home and landing awkwardly.<\/p>\n

X-rays were carried out, which revealed a fracture to the radius and ulna of the left forelimb.<\/p>\n

During a two-hour Orthopaedic surgery with RCVS Recognised Specialist in Small Animal Surgery, Simon Roch, the bone fragments were realigned and stabilised using a bone plate and screws applied to the radius. This will hold the bone fragments in position whilst bone healing takes place.<\/p>\n

Six weeks after Reggie\u2019s operation, he is now walking well and is beginning to exercise more. Let\u2019s hope that doesn\u2019t include any more sofa aerobics!<\/p>\n
