What happens

Kentdale Veterinary Orthopaedics is a family company that offers a dedicated orthopaedic and spinal referral service to the clients of veterinary practices in Cumbria, north Lancashire and beyond.

The principle surgeon is Simon Roch who graduated from Edinburgh University in 1997 and worked in an orthopaedic referral practice in Warwickshire and a large mixed practice in north Lancashire, prior to undertaking a three year residency in small animal orthopaedics and spinal surgery at the renowned Willows Referral Service near Solihull. Simon gained his RCVS certificate in small animal surgery in 2006 and has written articles on veterinary orthopaedics for publication in internationally recognised, peer reviewed scientific journals. He has traveled across the world to further his knowledge in the expanding field of small animal orthopaedics and minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery. His particular interests include correction of limb alignment, the surgical management of elbow dysplasia and the treatment of fractures.

He is supported clinically and managementally by his wife Louise, who also graduated from Edinburgh University in 1997. Louise has particular interests in medical investigations and treatments, postoperative rehabilitation and alternative therapies including acupuncture.
